The goal of these classes is to ensure that the students have a firm understanding of the books of Tanach which describe the development of the Jewish nation and its close connection to the Torah, Hashem and the land of Israel.
9th/10th Grade curriculum:
The 9thand 10th grade class will study portions of the books of Shemot, Bamidbar as well as a selection from some of the books of Neviim Rishonim. The focus is to understand the challenges that were faced by the nation and its leaders during the different time periods.
There are regular tests throughout the year as well as an alternative assessment worth approximately 30% of the final bagrut grade.
11th Grade curriculum:
In 11th grade the curriculum includes units of study from the following books of the Tanach: Breishit, Melachim, Yonah Yeshayahu, and Tehillim. The focus is on close reading of the text uncovering important themes and developments. We will highlight the important messages and see how they pertain to our own lives.
The girls take a 1-point external Bagrut exam at the end of the year worth approximately 35% of their final bagrut grade.
12th Grade curriculum:
The 12th grade class study units from the following books of Tanach: Devarim, Yirmiyahu, Yechezkel & Ezra-Nechemia. The focus is on a deep understanding of the text and seeing what messages we can take out that pertain to our own lives. Striking parallels will be seen between the Shivat Tzion period and the return to Israel in the 20th century.

Breishit is studied in the 9th/10th grade class. The girls study the stories of Breishit focusing on the personalities of Avraham, Yitzchak, Yaakov and Yosef. They take a close look at the text of the Tanach paying attention to the words and phrases. The class traces the moral development of the biblical characters and learn important messages for our lives. There are regular tests throughout the year
